Gurkiran Kaur

Voice, Dialect & Communication Coach & Teacher

Gurkiran is a member of the Voice and Speech Teacher's Association (VASTA) and is part of the EduCore Leadership team and sits on the Board as a second year Junior Board Member. Gurkiran has spoken about at global conferences; Royal Central School of Speech and Drama’s Intersections 2021, Voice Association of Speech and Teacher’s Association’s Rising Voices 2021 and Converging Pathways 2022. Gurkiran is also a member of the British Voice Association (BVA). 

Theatre, TV & Film

Gurkiran has coached over 20 professional theatrical and TV productions including Hampstead Theatre, Unicorn Theatre, Bush Theatre, Young Vic and Shakespeare's Globe. She specialises in both voice and dialect work. With the call for actors with a South Asian background on the recognition and increase, Gurkiran particularly specialises in South Asian, Middle Eastern and accents of the Diaspora.  

Drama Schools

Gurkiran works at a number of drama schools in and across London and delivers virtual classes and workshops. She has experience teaching practical voice, accents and offers show support for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Gurkiran also has experience hosting and sitting on auditions panels at drama schools: Graduating Show Support Credits

Business & Corporate

Gurkiran holds both in-person and virtual sessions with private clients. She delivers vocal well being workshops and confidence in communication workshops with organisations and companies. Between 2021-2022, Gurkiran was the vocal coach for the partnerships between The National Theatre and British Land.
